Amazon Europe expansion service
Expanding to Amazon Europe means choosing marketplaces, translating listings, and meeting EU rules before you sell: VAT registration where you store stock, EPR registration for packaging and certain products, and an EU responsible person under the General Product Safety Regulation. We run the Amazon side and coordinate the compliance providers.
Which EU marketplaces first?
Germany is usually the first EU market for brands from outside Europe, because it is the largest Amazon store in the EU. France, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands follow. Sweden, Poland, Belgium and Ireland are smaller but often worth adding once listings are translated.
EU compliance checklist
| Rule | What it means for Amazon sellers |
|---|---|
| VAT and OSS | VAT registration in each country where you store stock, plus OSS for cross-border sales to consumers. |
| EPR | Extended Producer Responsibility registration for packaging and some product types, for example LUCID in Germany. Amazon asks for registration numbers. |
| GPSR | The General Product Safety Regulation requires an EU-based responsible person and product safety information on listings. |
| PPWR | The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation applies from 12 August 2026 and adds new packaging requirements. |
We prepare your listings and Amazon account for these rules and work with specialist tax and compliance firms for registrations and filings.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do Swiss and Norwegian shoppers buy from Amazon.de?
Yes, many do. They are outside the EU, so imports face customs and local VAT, which affects your pricing and delivery promise.
Do you translate listings?
Yes. We use native-speaking translators and local keyword research, not raw machine translation.
